How To Push Through When You Hit The 'Wall'..

We all get to a point in life where we hit the dreaded wall. We think enough is enough, let's give in and stop putting ourselves through all this hassle and pain.
I'd like to say "here are 3 tips on how to instantly smash that wall", but as you know, it's just not that simple. What is, these days?!
However I am going to discuss some things that I've had to remember and do these last couple of weeks as I certainly have hit what has felt like the most ginormous wall.
The first thing I'd say is to definitely read some self-development books. These tend to help me not just for motivation but also I pick up tips and tricks. One book that I'd highly, HIGHLY recommend is 'How To Be Human : The Manual' by Ruby Wax, it's such an easy read because although it's inspirational and useful, Wax's humour makes the book that much easier to read and just makes me feel better each time I read a bit more of it.
When you hit the wall, it's important to remember that you CAN reach out to a friend or family member for some advice or just for a chat. Hitting the wall can most definitely feel frustrating so don't think you have to struggle through on your own.
During times like these, it's important to congratulate yourself on the little things you achieve. If possible, figure out during this time, what matters most to you and why? This is crucial as a motivation, I feel like when we hit the wall it's easier to give up because of the struggle we're going through and that's why we need a reason to motivate us to keep going.
This ISN'T forever, you may not be in control of what's going to happen in your life but you are in control of what actions you take and how you speak to yourself and others.
What are you scared of? Now is the time to start facing them head on. Whatever you do, whether you fail a couple of times, do not give up. Never ever give up. As hard as it is, keep pushing and eventually you will knock that wall down brick by brick.
Remind yourself you are capable and you can get through this phase of your life. Confucius says 'He who says he can, and he who says he can't are both usually right'. Let that sink in and think about it.
We are who we choose to be. Decide who that is. Failure is a part of success, nothing good comes from perfection and nothing certainly grows there.
Who in the world inspires you? Why do they inspire you? It could be your mum, your brother, your best friend or Will Smith. What would they do in your shoes? What advice do you imagine they'd give you?
There's no easy way to get to where we want to be in life. That is why it matters so much to us and frustrates us when something happens that we class as a failure.
Pushing through this is going to help you grow and develop as a person, I promise you. Even if you're back in a place you've been before, know that it's happening for a reason and for lessons to be learnt, and trust that it'll all work out for you. Keep going.
Ciao for now x
