Why Failure Should Be Seen As A Good Thing.

Failure - the DREADED word. Whether it's failing to get certain grades, not getting a certain job or forgetting to get the milk from the shop. Failure is what we all dread, in fact, it's what we all try so very hard to avoid.
Now, I can't take all of the credit for this because Will Smith changed my view on it too, nevertheless, failure is what helps us move forward with our lives.
Failure is what teaches us lessons and enables us to grow and move on to big and better things that can take us to where we want to be.
Failure can hold us back in order to bring new people that we wouldn't have met had we not 'failed'.
Failure is what breaks us in order to makes us! Failure is simply a different outcome to what we would've ideally liked, that doesn't make it bad.
When we think of the word failure we think of disappointment and negativity, ESPECIALLY when it's about ourselves. Here's the thing, failure can make us feel down about ourselves and we all count different things as being failures, but no matter what, no matter how painful initially, that failure leads us to positive places in the end.
Despite what you may think or feel about failure, it shows us how much we are actually capable of taking and that is MORE than we realise.
Although we'd rather get that job first time, or pass those exams right away, life works in mysterious ways and brings new people and opportunities into your life through putting you through something again or prolonging a process - if that makes sense?!
What if we stopped viewing failure as a negative? What if we strove for success but weren't afraid of failure as we knew for certain it would still bring positivity into our lives eventually?
Failure is scary because we associate it with scary things such as not being happy, and not ever succeeding in the things we want most. It is only through failure that we learn crucial lessons and develop important skills to then go on and succeed.
I know you're probably thinking what a load of bull....... and I would've too but despite having many setbacks throughout these last few years which I've classed as failures, I've actually grown so much as a person and learnt all kinds of things and that is true for you too.
Look back on your so-called failures and try and find one time where a failure didn't teach you a lesson, or develop you as a person. I'm not saying that we should all stop being bothered about achieving goals and succeeding, what I am saying is, failure isn't so scary if you see it in more of a positive light!
I hope that this post has made sense and I hope you've been able to take something from it!
Ciao for now x
