Use Social Media To Motivate Yourself Not Beat Yourself Up.

Don't get me wrong, I am "pro" social media. For one, I wouldn't be able to share these blogs with the relevant audiences if I didn't use social media and a lot of good can come from social media.

However, a lot of bad can come too. The choice is yours. I think it's important to note that social media never shows a true portrayal of someone's life.

The truth is, nobody leads a perfect life. Even the most beautifully perfect people, and the richest of the rich. They all go through lows in life just like me and you.

Nevertheless, we don't see those bits of their lives, why? Because they pick and choose what they want us to see, and if you took a look at your own social media's I'm sure you'd find a similarity in the sense that you also choose to only show the good bits.

Why wouldn't you? Nobody wants to see the negative and hard aspects of life right?

Here's my opinion. I truly believe that being real on social media is actually helpful to those on it. Not that it has to turn in to a feed filled with negativity, but realness. Admitting that your day might not have gone so perfectly but here you are still standing - it could actually make the world of difference to somebody.

We all have days where it feels like the whole world is against us and we all have days where we feel like shouting from the rooftops because we feel so happy and blessed. Those two aspects combine to make life work.

Not everyone wants to display their lives on social media and obviously, that is perfectly okay.

What I'm trying to say is if you are pretty open on social media, please make a note to definitely keep in mind showing, both the good and bad of life.

Social media is so powerful and I truly believe we can all help each other through it. Social media has actually brought many new conversations with different people into my life.

So, no this isn't a rant about social media and how it's destroying the youth of today!! I definitely think we should all be a little bit more mindful of how we use it, including what's on our feed, what we read and what we choose to put out.

How do we make ourselves more mindful when it comes to the use of the big media? We ask ourselves these questions.

Is any of this useful to your life? Is it bringing positivity or negativity to your life? If it's not bringing good, don't feel like you can't remove certain people from your feed. It's not personal, it's just about taking care of your mind.

Are you spending too much time on social media? Are you misusing it? E.g - being hard as yourself for not having what others "APPEAR" to have in their lives. That is misusing.

Like I said, social media can be a really good thing for us human beings. It can bring us closer as people and even help us form new friendships. But please be mindful of how your using or interpreting what you see on social media.

Ciao for now x
